Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
The short version. We ask for your name and email so we can send you the planning guide and a handful of follow-up notes. We do not sell your information, we do not share it, and we do not call you. You can leave at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, and that is the end of it.
Who we are
Before They Have to Ask is a free planning guide created by Michelle Tarver, Managing Partner at Fuller Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Naples, Florida. This website is operated in connection with that guide. Questions about it can go to [email protected].
What we collect
If you request a copy of the guide, we collect what you type into the form:
- Your first and last name.
- Your email address.
- Your phone number, only if you choose to give it. This field is optional.
- How you would like to receive your copy.
- Your mailing address, only if you ask us to mail you a printed copy.
- How you heard about the guide, only if you choose to tell us.
We also collect ordinary, anonymous website statistics — how many people visited a page, and roughly where they came from. This is not tied to your name.
What we do with it
- Send you the guide, in the format you asked for.
- Send you a series of short follow-up emails over roughly four months, each about using one part of the guide, and occasional notes after that.
- Mail you a printed copy, if that is what you chose.
- Contact you if there is a problem delivering your copy. This is the only reason we would use a phone number.
What we will never do
- Sell your information. Not to anyone, at any price, ever.
- Share or rent your information to another company or organisation.
- Call you to sell you anything, including funeral or cemetery arrangements.
- Add you to any other mailing list.
- Use anything you write inside the guide itself. We never see it. The fillable PDF saves to your own computer and is never sent to us.
Who else touches your information
Two services help us operate, and both are bound to use your data only to provide their service:
- MailerLite stores the list and sends the emails.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and manages the domain.
If we advertise on Facebook or Instagram, Meta may set a cookie that lets us show a follow-up advertisement to people who visited this page. It does not tell us who you are. You can opt out of that in your Facebook ad settings, or by using your browser's tracking controls.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to stop, or until an email address has been inactive for two years, at which point we remove it.
Leaving, and getting your data
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you are removed; nothing further is sent and nobody follows up to ask why.
You can also write to [email protected] at any time and ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. We will do it, and we will not ask you to justify the request.
Children
This guide is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in an email rather than quietly updating the page.
